Windshield Heroes (windshieldheroes.com) has helped drivers find auto glass and window tinting businesses since 2017. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to windshieldheroes.com and covers information collected through this website only.

Quote requests. When you request a quote, we collect your name, email, phone number, zip code, vehicle details, and a description of the work needed.
Contact form. When you message us, we collect your name, email, phone number, and message.
Account registration. If you create an account (as a customer or as a business), we collect your name, email, phone number, and - for businesses - your company name, address, and the services you offer.
Location. To sort the directory by distance, we use an approximate location derived from your IP address (via Cloudflare) or, if you grant permission, your browser's location.
Usage data. We use Google Analytics and first-party event tracking to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which listings get called or clicked).
Log files. Like most websites, our hosting and security providers log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and referring pages.

How we use your information

To send your quote request to businesses near you, so they can contact you directly with a quote.
To respond to messages sent through the contact form.
To operate accounts, listing claims, and business profiles.
To sort and personalize directory results by location.
To understand and improve how the site is used.

When we share your information

If you submit a quote request, we share the details of that request (your contact info and job description) with the businesses near you that are best positioned to respond - that's the core of how Windshield Heroes works. We also share information with service providers who help us run the site, including our email delivery provider (Mailjet), our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare), and Google Analytics. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, protect forms from cross-site request forgery, and (via Google Analytics) understand aggregate site usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site - like staying logged into your account - may not work correctly without them.

Data retention

We keep quote requests and contact messages long enough to fulfill their purpose and for reasonable record-keeping, and account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time - see below.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Windshield Heroes is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
